The Vespa scooter has always been an icon. But did you know that she was born in the town of Pontedera, in Tuscany?
I'll tell you a little 'us. This year we celebrate its 70th birthday in the green hills of Pisa.
Always icon of the "dolce vita", the world of fashion, the subculture "mods" in England who used to modify their Vespa  and go running around in dress and parkas, in eternal rivalry with rockers.

Here some little curiosity and tips:
The Vespa 150 decorated by Dali is probably the most valuable Vespa currently the world. He belonged to Santiago Guillen and Antonio Veciana, two Spanish students who wanted to travel to Europe. First stop Rome, then Athens, but during a stopover in Cadaquez meet Dali who decides to customize it with his art and with the name of his Gala. The Vespa was exhibited for the first time at dell'Eurovespa in Girona on 12 and 13 June 1999, at the Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Pompidou in Paris before returning to the Piaggio Museum in Pontedera.

In the world today there are 8 thousand Vespa-Club.

So many of Vespa advertising poster: in a 1950 manifesto, the word 'Vespa yourselves, "a few years later the phrases" those who breathe Vespa "and" Vespa who is shining ", nel'69" Who Vespa eating apples "by Oliviero Toscani .

Between 22 and April 25 will come to visit us so many fans from all over Italy and Europe. Waiting for them, the preview of the exhibition, "A trip with the Vespa. Long adventure 70 years. ", And then move the following days, for a visit of the Piaggio factory and the opportunity to tour the hills of Valdera, a walk between Lajatico and the silence of the theater, crossing the street of the wine hills Pisan.
Or between the narrow streets of the city of Pisa and its Leaning Tower until you get to Piazza dei Cavalieri.
